The West African nation of Liberia was populated in 1820 by slaves that were freed by British and Americans, and sent there rather than returning them to their countries of origin. In 1847 the new country became the Republic of Liberia.

Past civil wars have claimed the lives of over 500,000 Liberians and collapsed the country's economy.

Today Liberia struggles to recover from the lingering effects of those wars. Nearly 90% of the population continues to live below the international poverty line, and certain secret religious societies such as Sande, still practice the barbaric ritual of female genital mutilation.

Dozens of pastors and Christian church leaders from Liberia requested that we come to their nation to bring HOPE and the HEALING LIFE OF JESUS. Dr. LaDonna C. Osborn selected her mission team and began preparations to travel to Liberia to spread the GOOD NEWS to the Liberian people.
